Harleybob87,
What is Swan’s?
It is a company that delivers food. It is all frozen with things from full meals to ice cream. they are paid on a base pay plus commisions. you drive a truck with the product on it and then stop at peoples houses that have ordered and delivery whet they order plus anything else you can sell them. You would also stop at houses along the way on your route to establish new customers.
Is that kinda like Schwann’s?
How come Santa is not happy?
Or, is that his happy face? ![]()

Ok so I misspelled it LOL DG and Grubb spelled it right. Santa is not happy cause santa is working 7 days a week 14-16 hours a day so he can have the week off before christmas. Not only does he go to work like that but he visits peoples house’s on Christmas eve and delivers presents to children. I am very proud of him. He has accomplished a lot at the early age of 24.

I worked for one of the divisions of Schwan’s (not home delivery) for a dozen years. I know the chairman Al Schwan and he is an outstanding individual. He’s honest as the day is long, caring and has a knack for remembering everyone’s name. It’s the only place I’ve worked in the last 30 years that the senior management really cares about it’s employees. I don’t know if they still do this, but every year at Thanksgiving and Christmas the company would give all of it’s 25,000 employees a turkey and ham, respectively. The founder, Marvin Schwan, always treated his employees as family and he wanted to make sure that they had a special meal to eat on the holidays. It’s one of the few companies that I have worked for that hard work is rewarded, no matter what level of education you have and that you can stay with for a lifetime. Please encourage your son to stick with Schwan’s as there will be plenty of opportunities for your son to be promoted, as long as he stays with it.
One caution though…their bagel dogs and ice cream are addicting

You deserve to be proud , he sounds and looks like a fine man! ( Son )

Congratulations to your son, harleybob. I hope the week he has off before Christmas is filled with rest and spending time with his family. He deserves a break.
i wonder if it would be possible to make some streamers from the fur on his coat…
Congrats to BOTH, you and your son, HarleyBob!
I’ll get killed for saying this, but sadly in America anymore, it’s hard to FIND a young man of only 24 that busts his buns every day of the week, to not only better HIMSELF, but those around him.
My first wife and I raised 3 young men, and spaced well enough apart, I've seen very clearly the "age bracket attitudes" each young man has. All, my sons have very good careers now, but my youngest, (25), had a hard time realizing that; "the world doesn't OWE HIM a darn thing, unless he worked hard for it".
Also, HB a huge amount of who and what your son is and does, is due to YOU and your bride. I’m positive your son didn’t learn to be the man he is, today, “from reading a book”!??!
(I, also, laughed at the FIRST picture, because it looks like your son is JUST WAITING to catch the little dog, lifting his leg on that Christmas tree!??!)
Happy Holidays, to you, all!
Paul
