It is sunny and 75 here in Central Ohio and the END of September, and to top it off the local flow gauge said GO this morning, they cracked the dam a bit to create some flow.
Got out to the river only to find a RARE treat, clear water and flow…in C-bus that is rare, we are a murky water type place.
Quite a few were caught by site fishing them…could see ther backs a’ flashin’
First Cast…WHAM, SECOND cast WHAM…all in all, about 2 dozen…no big one that got away to lie about today, they were all in th 12-14 inch range. That’s why only one pic.
Note the “usual” top-water…redesigned using a Gami. Bass Stinger Hook…increased the hook up rate to near 100%.
These Smalls were mostly loaded with Shad and again, about 2 dozen or so in about 1.5 hours…never walked more then 50 YARDS!
Raw69 and Wild One, Hollar if you can meet up SAT early am…I’ll be there!
Actually my odd schedule affords me the oppurtunity to fish when others work…I really didn’t have to call in sick…just trying to dig at a couple of local guys who I am sure probably did have to work today and were only miles from this little flow of ours.
That would directed at…ME!!
And, I did call in sick yesterday. The only problem was someone had to watch the little rugrats. Oh well, I’ll just keep living through your posts until I can get out. Thanks for rubbing it in!
