Winston BIIX & BII-MX 6wt

Any opinions on these two rods? Use for trout and smallmouth Lehigh, Delaware Susquehanna Delaware and maybe some lakes or smaller streams. Thanks for your thoughts. Dave

I own a 6wt BII-MX and I find it to be a nice smallmouth rod and throw streamers with it for browns on mid to larger rivers. Wouldn’t be my first pick for a trout rod on smaller streams.

I have the BII-X in 6wt and 7wt. Both work well for largemouth bass, carp and big cats - anything that likes big flies. As 51 said, they wouldn’t be my choice for most trout fishing.

I have the BIIX and a BIIIX. Prefer the BIIIX.

I used to love my BIIX 7wt until I had to have it repaired. Will never be seen fishing with one again nor will there ever be a chance I would buy another.
