hook -Dai Riki 280 #16
thread - MFC 8/0 sand
egg sac - Mini Sparkle Braid chartreuse
underbody - Mirage Flash opal
abdomen - Micro Tubing tan
wing - CDC tan
thorax - Ice Dub pheasant tail
hackle - barred cream

Part 1

fuse end of Sparkle Braid with a lighter; mash barb, start thread at 2/3 mark, measure (tip to a bit past hook bend), tie in/trim

tie in tubing

tie in flash at 2/3 mark; wrap to base of sac and back; tie off/trim

wrap tubing; tie off/trim

measure (tips to bend) a pair of CDC feathers; tie in/trim

tie in hackle

Part 2

dub thread/dub thorax

wrap hackle, tie off/trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

trim out underside of hackle (optional)
