Who sent me this 5 wt. St. Croix rod for my daughter???

Last fall someone sent me an older 5 wt. St. Croix rod with a broken tip for my daughter.

I fixed the tip, and cleaned it up.

Today we went out, and she caught 3 really nice rainbows with the rod.

She is really looking forward to the opening of the bass season!!!

I just wanted to thank the person very much for the rod, she loves it, and finds it easy to cast with.

Have a great weekend,
chris

Chris,
I don’t mean to hijack your post, but have you had a chance to use the float tube yet?

Hello Joe!!!

Glad to hear from you.

No problemo about the post, you can drop me a line anytime buddy!
Always a pleasure to hear from you.

I hope all has been well with you and the family.

No, I have not gotten a chance to use the tube yet, the weather arround here has been extremely cold. I would say that we are at least two weeks behind in the regular warm temps.

The perch run should of started a week ago, but they have just begun entering the rivers.

The tube will get some good use when the water warms up, our local club has organized a float tube day in June.

But, it will get more use before that! I live 2 minutes from a lake loaded with pan fish, and bass. In the summer they all congrigate under the overhanging trees on the edge of the water, in the evening it is a feeding frenzy!!! The best approach is from the waters side, the land is privately owned by a company that limits access.

The tube will be the perfect tool to target them with, the yak is for rivers, and larger lakes.

Have a great week!
chris
