Which Chota wading boots?

Hey there. I’m considering getting some Chota boots, and I’ve narrowed the list down to the Caney Fork ($149.95) or the Rocky River ($94.95), mostly because I’m moving away from felt. Has anyone used the Rocky River? I’m just wondering if the extra money for the Caney Forks is worth it, except for the QuickLace System. Any input would be appreciated.

Sorry I can’t help you with shoe info on those specific models but when you decide, if you get studs take a look at other options besides the Chota STL steel or the Chota carbide tipped studs.

In my experience the regular Chota STL studs wear out way too fast. The new carbide tipped studs are better but stick out a tad far IMHO. These days I am using the Orvis Posi-Grip carbide studs in my older Chotas. Great bite and long lasting. Unfortunately not as cheap.
