I love the chance to catch any fish on the fly.
I second that. I’ve even been known to catch them on spinning equippment from time to time. In fact, flybinder is working on a ten step plan to work out attonment for my recent transgressions into the dark world of spin fishing.

to me bass are outright the hardest freshwater fish to trigger…I do get large bass sometimes but nothing comppared to what I see…I am talking fishing the Everglades also…I find them to be as tough to get to take as bonefishing…it must be a florida thing…I never had problems in NC
Pretty much it’s been my experience if I can see the bass, I’m not going to catch him. Sometimes I’ll see the swirls where one has taken something right below the surface or where they’ve chased baitfish up against the shoreline and can cast to them but for the most part, if I see a bass swimming along, I don’t catch it. They must have pretty good eyesight.

That’s a pretty good observation. My experience is very similar. In all but a few circumstance, if I see them, I don’t catch them either. I wonder if I fished with my eyes closed… 8T
