I am on the market for a good #7 reel that can handle some saltwater.

For that price it better be hand delivered by the Sweedish Bikini Team and also have a genie that pops out of it when you rub it with a soft cloth. I wouldn’t buy one after they moved production to China or Japan or wherever it is they are made now. If that’s in your price range you should look at Abel or Tibor.

My House of Hardy Bougle reel (the Centinnery) plainly says on the reel, made by House of Hardy, England.

You’re right LF, my mistake. It was Orvis that moved out of the UK and to the east.
