No brainer–Kill it, then see if it has any worth while tying material in it.

45 feet long?!?! 2500 pounds?!?! There’s an expletive that would probably suffice to describe what I’d do!!
<sorry 'bout that!!:rolleyes:>
Worked for me.
I would be petrified…
pun in there somewhere maybe…
Only one thing to do…
You could likely get some nice steaks out of it also. Wonder if it tasted like chicken?
Snake Steaks and Snake Skin leader wallets for all of my friends at FAOL! You haven’t eaten pure white meat until you eat a snake. Yes I have and no they do not taste like chicken. The rattler I had tasted like very moist grouse.

There was an article on the evening news about the problem with Burmese Pythons in south Florida and the Keys. People have released their pets which have reproduced and have become a problem. They are further endangering endangered species.
If God had wanted them there, he would have put them there.
Nothing. I am not messing with a snake that big!
Providing that i would survive such an encouter… I guess I would have to visit the nearest department store so stack up on new undies…
…you mean after I soiled my shorts??? That is one huge motha-jumpin snake. Think a .40 cal is enough???

Or look at it this way: bass eat snakes fairly regularly, so imagine the size fly you’d have to tie to catch the fish that were swimming around munching on these guys. Anyone know where I can get 30 foot rubber legs and 200/0 stinger hooks?
My grandmother was in her 80s and kept seeing what she called a giant snake around her home in southern NY state. Several months and many sightings later my uncle went down in her cellar and found a ball python of considerable size looking for a winter home…
My grandmother was extremely satisfied it was gone and that she had not been seeing things… As had been suggested.
Oh, my uncle is not fond of snakes and went for help on the python…

My Grandma (lived to be 104) was about 95 when one night she announced to the family that she had killed a little snake in the kitchen. My Mom went to check to see if Grandma was seeing things or had “taken too much medicine”.
No kidding - Grandma had taken a meat cleaver to an 8 foot diamondback rattler that had gotten in the house and was coiled up in the back of the pantry.
South Texas where men are men, snakes are snakes and scared of little old ladies with meat cleavers…
True true story.
