Some time ago there was a thread about waterproof cameras and underwater pictures. I recently sprung for a waterproof case for my canon, and yesterday I was finally able to use it. Thought I’d share…
HOLY COW…what an awesome pic! Great perspective! No wonder a little ‘hint’ of crystal flash does so much to get their attention!
Please keep taking and posting…this is great insight.
Would also love to see the view looking up to a dry fly…especially to see what the imitation looks like next to the real thing…
I know, I know…I’m a greedy b*stard…but YOU started it by posting that awesom pic!
Thanks for sharing!
WOW! It’s just like having a Aquariam RIGHT HERE!!!
Doug
Tried to get this guy taking a hopper but was half a second late on the shutter. My next effort will be to get video of a fish rising or hitting a streamer.
Which Canon are you using? I’ve been thinking about getting a case for my A640…
Powershot SD600. The case was a little pricey, and I bought it mainly because I was tired of missing pictures out of fear of ruining my camera. Sometimes I’m a little hesitant to take it out when I’m knee deep or have my hands covered in fish slime.
Your second shot has inspired me…I just ordered the case from amazon—been sitting on making the move for months but it’s time to get wet before it gets too cold…
Thanks
BW
OMG!!! THOSE PICS ARE JUST TOOOO AWESOME!! 8)
Neat Pics! Where in Cleveland is there trout like these?
Awesome pics! Where were they taken?
Just an FYI…I just received a set of DVD’s titled
Underwater World of Trout, Vol. 2: Feeding Lies
Underwater World of Trout, Vol. 1: Discovery
from http://www.blockbuster.com (click on the Outlet link, and do a search)
They’re pretty good for the price Blockbuster is selling them. It’s mostly videos of trout in their underwater world taken by a Fly Fisherman.
These are absolutely amazing pictures. Very impressive and I really appreciate you sharing them. I’d also love to know where these rainbows are hiding and how you’ve been able to get close enough to take these photos.
Yeah - give it up!
Where’d you take these pics!
I didn’t think that there was water like this up in Cleveland, home of the burning river!
Regardless - I have to comment again on how absolutely cool they are!!!
Those were taken on private water near Castalia. There’s several springs that rise in the area, so there’s a few places in the area that stay clean at a constant 50 degrees year round.
Definitely NOT the Cuyahoga river. I’ll post again when I get some new pictures.
Are these pay for play ponds/lakes - just like out West? If so how much, and can you pm me contact info?
Wow - sounds like a wonderful place to fish!
And the fish don’t seem to be too spooked with you runningaround with a camera (lucky for us!)
And while the burning river still gets a bad rap near Cleveland (my wife is from Chagrin Falls) - farther up there’s some pretty good fishing.
Thanks gain for sharing! LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE PICS!
