What is your favorite Czech nymph colors?

I have started tying some of these up for an up coming trip. They are just so easy tie. I have been using standard colors and dubbing. Hare’s Ear blends in natural, cream, olive and black. I guess I am trying to stay close in color to other more traditional nymphs suchs GRHE, Prince etc.

Reviewing Googles’s hits on Czech Nymph, I know that some of these in Europe are pretty colorful. I was wondering if anybody was using a more “exotic” color combo’s with success.

Doug,

I’ve had good success with these.

I do find that putting that ‘bright spot’ of color in the thorax area catches more fish for me than ones without it.

I don’t go overboard, just add a bit of chartruese dubbing in that area to an olive nymph, a bit of bright orange to a brown on, and a bit of bright yellow to a cream one, etc.

These are great ‘all purpose’ flies for me, they work in moving and still waters.

Good luck!
