I started to tie some 16, 18, 20’s last night (mayfly and midges parachutes). I find that I lose my technique on those small flies and it takes about 5 or so to get a decent tie. I think they are harder than speys, but for some reason most people feel the opposite. The hard part of a spey is mounting the wings. I used to have beads of sweat dripping off my head in the dead of winter, trying to mount the wings. Thank God not that hard anymore!
