What am I doing wrong with posting images?

Used to be able to post images, suddenly it will only show the BB code in my post.

Humm, must be getting out of whack when copy/pasting…thank YOU!

Hopefully, I can post my report.

I had the same problem…here’s what happened. I had upgraded to Adobe Flashplayer 10 which had some sort of “reaction” with Photobucket. I used to do all copy/paste stuff with my mouse…Here’s what to do now:

  1. Click with mouse on IMG code & it will highlight
  2. Go to your keyboard & hit Ctrl c (to copy)
  3. Go to where you want to paste, hit Ctrl v (to paste) & your picture/site/etc will appear

I have had to do this with all my copy/paste stuff…it’s fine, just a change.
Hope this helps.
Mike

Thanks again…finally got this under control and posted my report.

Can I do this?

Hmm posts a link rather than the pic.

How do you get the pic in here rather than just the link?

add this

brhof,

In photobucket, when you place your mouse indicator over a photo, your given a choice of 4 link options. The last one is an img link. Copy that one and paste it into your post.

Max,
In my opinion Max, you are doing it the correct way. Just posting the link saves space and lets the thread load faster. Readers then have the option of viewing the photo or not. But in almost all cases the poster wants his/her photo to be seen, even if we don’t want to see it… LOL.
If you want to join the vast majority( right or wrong), do as ‘REE’ stated in his post.

                                                                                          Qg.

Sorry, I don’t use Photo bucket so I can only do things the “old fashioned way”.

Let me try this one more time—The REE way - that imposes this nice chromer pic on all who wander this way.
