P.S. (added a bit later) There is still just a bit of a mess to clean up. I expect that the Anglers of the Au Sable can still use a donation or three to clear away the legal bills. It is also a good investment for the future. When a group looks to anglers for financial support before they take on the next fight, will they know that we are there? It matters when companies look around at just who might be standing up to defend a creek or a river. Will we be there? Water and greed search out the path of least resistance.
I want to say “Thank you” to all who were involved in saving the precious resource in Michigan. That river system is where I first learned stewardship and was proud to have once been a small supporting part of an earlier law suite, which we also won. History repeats it’s self, again. The people win, again.
