Weird hookup

Out this am getting some gills on various flies. On one cast a swallow took the fly and went about 25 feet before dropping it. I then
caught an 8 inch bass.

WOW! That’s pretty cool! Imagine how fast the bird had to be to snatch an artificial fly sailing thru the air during a cast!I once landed a Cliff Swallow that got wrapped in my line during a backcast. He was fine. We were both very surprised!

Rick,So, in order to extend the length of your cast you are now employing birds to carry it out there?Very good. Okay, just joking, but a neat experience.Larry —sagefisher—

I wish the birds would cooperate that way. Talking to a guy with a drone about taking my fly line out and then, dropping it on a pons where it is nearly impossible to cast in 99% of it.
Not sure this will happen.
Rick

Caught a bat once on my backcast. neither one of us was overly happy about it. Little tricky to unhook, thank goodness for barbless hooks.
