We are here!!!

Arrived in Grayling & Hartwick Pines State Forrest CG Wed. afternoon. Torrential rains the last 30 miles but it stoped long enough to let us grocery shop

We also had to make a stop in Pinconning for some cheese

The rains started again before we got the camper set up so it sort of a wet evening. We also had some leaking while driving that will be easy to fix.

Fatbill (Bill Horner) fixed us a great chicken dinner.

We did get over to Cummin’s flats for a few hours between downpours for some pretty good fishing.

We are now at Gate’s Lodge along with Scubatim and mcstef. Get some more photo’s and reports on the way soon. Let the Fish-In Begin!!

Have fun guys! Hopefully I’ll make it next year.

Sounds and looks like you guys are having a blast!

Have you noticed there’s a gnome dogging your butts?

Glad to see Gnorme made the trip safe and sound.

Keep us posted.

Hartwick Pines is a beautiful place. Those huge white pines are incredible. Have a great time!

Here is Gnorm looking over the rod at Grayrock…

And watching Jim Flamming cast a bamboo rod…

And checking out the interior of the Rayburn Lodge. A beautiful place indeed.

Brad

Gents,
Keep the enthusiasm down to a whimper till I get there about Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

Mark

jim, we’ll miss you and butterfly…wish you were here.
marco - hartwick is an 80 acre stand of virgin white pines that the loggers missed for some reason or other; it lies 10 minutes northeast of grayling-it is an awesome place…google it then visit it when you come.
ed-should we leave the light on ?
mato is in the area w/ her flygirls-probably at keystone bothering the fish and generally carousing-hope to see her tomorrow.
should be getting more exciting when more from the island nation of ohio show up tomorrow afternoon.
weather is beginning to cooperate…should have some bugs coming off soon with the warming temps.
josh is doing well at gates.

Jack/Brad,
How many bodies will be there by Thursday? If you know an approximate #, I plan to bring some vittles to prepare for general consumption. ( If that’s agreeable with y’all)

Mark

No more than 8 including you Marco.
