Wow what a trip. Snowed tuesday and freezing rain on wedsday and thursday. Only got in about 2 hours of fishing the whole trip and got SKUNKED. LOL it was a good time though. here is the lake

My friend George fished hard and got a couple of fish. Nothing to brag about but nice fish. My son’s new camping partner has a little girl so George decided to make the trip about her fishing. He put the line through the gills and then brought the lure around and stuck it in the fishes mouth. Took her down to the lake and said hey you got a fish

The mighty fisherman that she is fought the fish and won

Now being the good fisherman she is of course she had to have George take it off the hook for her. After all being she is a young lady and this was her first ever fish

Of course if you are going to catch the fish you must compare it to your fishing partners fish and make sure you have the biggest one

George was very proud to be the loser in this case. As most of us know it is about the kids getting into fishing instead of drugs or trouble of some sort. George and I both love to see the kids enjoy what mother nature has to offer. This is a pic of my son and his new camping partner. This was her second trip and all she brought for cloths was shorts and halter tops LOL. this is my son that was at one time 610 pounds. As you can see he has lost just a little weight.

As you know i have built a lot of rods for folks and that goes for the folks we camp with. This is a pic of them with their rods. I am the one with the police officer shirt on

For some unknown reason my friends like to give me things in thanks for the things I do for them. George is no exception and he knows I love the stuff written by Marv Taylor. In idaho Marv is a icon in the fly fishing world. He has written a lot of stuff on still water fishing and has designed a lot of fly’s. I eat up everything he writes and tie a lot of his fly’s. one weekend he was signing books at the seria trading post so George bought me a copy of FRAGMENTS OF THE PUZZLE volume II. Inside the cover he had Marv write Best wishes Bob May your loops be tight and your patterns right and then he signed it. I could not b e there cause I had to work Poor old me started to get very misty eyed.

Thanks folks for taking the time to read this
that is one wicked beard!!!

Welcome back Bob, sounds like a good time was had by all. The look on her face says it all, first fish and a good one.
What kind of dogs are they in the 2nd pic?
Hope you get many more camping trips in this summer.
All the best.
Mike.
Good things back to you ten fold. Glad you had a good time.

Mike the dogs in the pic are my sons. one is a la shitz and the one facing to the right of the pic is a los alpso. We own their mother.
mnklagoon yes that is quite the beard Up until 2002 I had the same with hair to my butt. George and I have been riding and fishing together for about 19 years now. George in 1992 ate a fence post at 80 miles a hour and broke every bone in his body. They thought he was dead but god had other plans. George is the minister that preformed the wedding for my youngest boy and his wife.
Yes we had a wonderful time camping once the sun came out. We do these several times a year because here in Idaho we can go less then 100 miles and be in some very gourgous country. On this camping trip there was about 50 people in attendance.

Doesn’t sound to me like you got SKUNKED. But if you did, that is the way to do it.
