Finally we are home before anything else goes south. First and formost let me say Thank You Paul from the bottom of my heart for everything you did for us. This is someone everyone here should get to know. He will always be above sainthood to me.
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I have read them all and myself and my family deeply deeply apreciate them. My son had 3 very serious surgeries and survived and is in great spirits I believe it was eric that said he walked 4 1/2 miles in my sonās name and he commends you for that. We are all very tired and emotionaly drained. Someone said I was strong to go through this but I am not. I am just a father who is a marshmellow. When it came time to learn how to pack my sons wounds I got sick and left the room. My wife is the strong one and without her I would not have been able to do any of this. My son has set the bar very high if I am to ever have a surgery and I am very very proud of him and all my family for the support they have given throughout this ordeal. And when I say all my family I mean my family here on FAOL as well. Thank you once again everyone
Welcome home! Good to hear Robert made it through his 3 surgeries and back at home. St Paul kept us updated on Robertās progress. Again, welcome home.
Glad you are ALL HOME and in the safety of your home. You are all strong in your own way! Itās natural for MAMA to be the care giver and BOOHOO healer, Fathers are the back bone and strength in a family, we are the protectors. It sound like your family is on solid ground and doing great times like this make a good family stronger and more loving, my prayer will always be with you, your son, wife, and anyone else under your roof.
Dave
Harleybob, that is great news! Congrats and all the very best luck for the rest of your sons recovery, I will keep him and your family in my thoughts.
Mike.
harleybob,
I am glad you are home. You did the best you could and you love your son and that is what matters the most. I hope and pray that Robertās health gets better and better.
Doug
Bob,
Glad to see you posting again. Of course prayers continue for Robert & all of you. His determination as reported is an inspiration to all.
God Bless,
Mike
psā¦That āun-namedā Oregonian was just a little bit of help, wasnāt he?
Man that is good news. I continue my prayers for Robert.
In ones lifetime it is lucky if you have one really good friend. On this website there are many whom I have never met but would not hesitate to call My really good friends. At the head of the list without a doubt is St Paul the highly confused. We are lucky to have him. Nuff said.
Us guys will take a direct hit on the forehead with a thrown brick, stagger a bit, then rub it and declare, Is that all you got?
But let us get the flu or have to pack a wound and stuff like that we turn into small little boys again. Thats why our wives are blessed with the mothering instinct. Everything in balance.
Paul you are right I do part my hair on the other side and mikey that is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. I do look preaty in that pic donāt I. LOL
Doug and Mikeyā¦
