I just saw this tube featured in a recent Fly Fish America issue. I am looking for an inexpensive float tube and this looks like it will fit the bill. Any one with experience with it? Thanks Dave
Dave, I had one & got rid of it…here are the pros & cons as I saw them…some things may be changed.
Cons: 1) Seat thick, hard foam horizontally mounted gave a “slipping” effect…needed to be dropped lower toward the back.
2) Bulky, not easily carried/packed when inflated.
3) Backrest single stitched…easy to pop a seam.
Pros 1) Great valves! (Boston valves).
2) You ride high & it rides fast compared to many others.
3) As I recall, good storage & lots of D rings.
All in all, a fine tube, but not good for packing. For me (I’m only 5’8"), that seat was a real problem…for a bigger person, it might not be.
