Washington state

I am going to Washington state on the 8th of April and plan on spending 6 days up there. I will be sytaying about an hour and a half north of Seattle on the I-5 corridor. Any sugestions, and what is running right now. Just got back from eastern Orgeon and the Steelhead were slow.

I’d check with Dennis Dickson. [url=http://www.flyfishsteelhead.com:339d7]www.flyfishsteelhead.com[/url:339d7]

A lot of the rivers are shut down now in that area. Two rivers that should be open are the Skagit and Sauk (the Sauk is catch and release only this time of year from Darrington downstream). Watch this site in case of closure tttp://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/regs/2005/2005sportregs.pdf. Both are solid steelhead rivers which can be a challenge to catch anything if you’re new to the sport. Dennis Dickson is a fly fishing guide who can help if you want to go that route.

Another option is to hit the lakes. There are many lakes in the area but a couple worth noting are Pass and Lone lakes which are on Whidbey Island.
