Sparkle Dun/Humpy hybrid. Tied here in western Fall Drake colors; change to suit your needs.

hook - Dai Riki 320 #12
thread - UTC 70 brown (misplaced tan)
tail - Congo Hair brown
rib - Uni-Stretch camel
abdomen - dubbing tan
wingcase/wing - deer hair
thorax - dubbing tan

Part 1

Mash down barb, start thread at 60% mark

tie in CH and ribbing; wrap back to point above barb

dub abdomen

rib abdomen/tie off; trim shuck

clean, stack, measure (hook length) a clump of deer hair; tie in, trim butts

Part 2

dub thorax; try to leave about 2 hook eye widths free at the front (makes it much easier to set the wing up properly)

pull wing over thorax, tie down (you want it to flare)

pull the tips up, apply a little more dubbing and set wing

Very nice pattern Scott! I tie one very similar, but use Natural Dun CDC for the wingcase and wing.
