Had real good luck with it last week in MT/YNP, especially in smaller sizes: haven’t found the wood grain foam anywhere (Clown Barf but not woodgrain) but I’ve got a lead at the local We Be Toys I need to follow up on. Tan, cream, grey, gold foam worked fine. Simple to tie, quick; give it a try.

My go-to pattern for both crickets in size 12 2XL and Hoppers in size 10 2XL.

Excellent pattern, easy to tie, good hooker since there’s no foam underneath the shank to narrow the hook gape.
