Hi everyone. Just a quick question. I have Hodgeman canvas felt sole hippers that I like alot but I’m getting to the point where I might need a repair after a few years of use. I haven’t checked since this past fall, but I’m trying to think ahead. i was wondering if anyone has ever done repairs on canvas waders? They are made like 2 layers of canvas slapped on either side of rubber. If they are leaking, you think some simple epoxy would do it?
Thanks, Hare
I used Goop on mine
has shoe goo
big tube…very cheap…
works wonders.

Have those exact same waders, and love 'em! Actually bought a new pair when the old ones started leaking due to abrasions from bouncing around in the back of my truck. I used Loon’s Sunset Wader Patch on them, and it worked like a charm. Ready to wear in less than 30 seconds, and the repair has lasted 2 years so far. The tube of wader patch now lives in the glove box, just in case. Why wait for glue to dry, when this stuff works almost instantly?
My Hodgman canvas chest waders were finally thrown out after purchasing in 1966. Kept them going with tire patching material purchased at auto stores and Toys R Us. Glue patches on the inside of the waders if possible.
