This week is edition 52, it is the last edition, for Volume 9. Next week is the start of Volume 10.
Nine years, of weekly editions of a Fly Angling Magazine, on the internet (all past articles available in the archives). No advertising, no charge to the viewer, and some of the best articles ever written on fly angling (no matter where your level of knowledge is, on any subject).
I was fortunate to discover FAOL, about one month after the site began. At the beginning there was not much in the way of archive material, but I know a winner when I see one. This site had all the makings of what it has evolved into, over the past 9 years, the Best Fly Angling site on the internet.
I want to say a Thank You!, to all who had a hand in creating this wonderful work of fly angling knowledge. Giving of their time and effort, sharing their knowledge with others, to aid others in learning something new with each new edition of FAOL.
I also want to say Thank You!, to the Sponsors and Friends of FAOL, who have put their money into keeping this wonderful site operational.
Parnelli, I too have been coming to FAOL since day 1. I remember when JC & Deanna broke off thier connections with another site to start this one. I can’t believe it’s 10 years already!
Can’t say it any better than Parnelli. I have not been on the site as long as most of you, but I have found an extended family here. Thanks JC and LF for the most fantastic site on the web. Thanks also to all of you that have contributed to make this such a great site. John
I agree with everybody else. This is the first site I go to whenever I get on the internet. I met JC and LF at one of the Idaho Fish-ins a few years ago and they are just as awesome in person as they are on FAOL!
Here’s hoping for another 10 years of the Number 1 Flyfishing web site.

Actually it’s NOT hard to believe it’s been 9 years. So “charming” and knowledgeable a host and his lovely bride just demand a devoted following such as we all see and experience.
I know this post sounds like a bit of a “suck-up” to enhance my chances of winning this months prize but it’s only PARTLY that. MOST of it is sincere and from the heart.
