Vintage Godfrey Salmon Reel

Anyone own, or used one of these? I just picked this up, it’s LHW and came with a spare spool and seems very robust. Don’t have any paperwork with it and it’s not clear as to how to change spools so any input would be much appreciated, thanks.

Just by looking at the pictures I’d say that center screw holds it on.

Tried that it, it ended up being the 3 outer screws rotate the hold downs just like a Bogdan

I contacted Ted for some technical info on a Jupiter. Very helpful and well worth the call. I’d suggest requesting some paperwork from Ted, as well as using caution when taking technical advice from people that may have (or probably) never seen a multiplying salmon reel…let alone understand the mechanics of one. Such free advice is often worth what you pay. Glad you found your answer, though, without issue. Fine reel, BTW.

I contacted Mr. Godfrey who told me the paperwork and serial number information was lost in a fire but to the best of his recollection it was made in the 84-86 time frame and the model is the Restigouche.
