Vineyard sound winding down

The spectacular striper fishing of the last few weeks in Vineyard sound seems to be winding down, which is typical of this time of year. From now on, I’d expect to find lone stragglers through Thanksgiving. These are typically large fish, but few and far between.
I thnk we’ve seen the peak of the fall striper migration.

boo hoo. On my last day out all I saw was about a baziooion Blues.

go rhody!!!

Micro - they are headed our way…

I went last night and didn’t see any big fish at all. Even the surfcasters on the beach weren’t getting anything. I landed one schoolie and went searching for bigger fish but didn’t find anything. I guess I should have stayed where the schoolies were.

Who has time for stress when there are fish to catch.

its heating up in VA
thanks for sending plenty down our way!

Yeah, They’re all gone. Everybody switch over to trout fishing , hunting, and watching football. I’ll just try it this weekend one more time to keep the place’honest’. If we get a weather window to put the boat in-I’m going. I got a report of a 56" 52lber from Squibnocket (tube and worm) and some almost “cows” from the Elizabeth’s this past weekend…Then again, “believe nothing of what you hear, and half of what you see” when it comes to fishing reports…
