I’m not sure why it has taken me so long to check this out, but boy is it helpful! Joe Cornwall has a series of video instruction for tying a few flies. If you think seeing pictures and reading about how to tie a fly is helpful, you aint seen nothing yet. I believe a few of these have been posted before, but I wanted to give you guys a link for the flies of the month for this series. Keep in mind that because this is for a website called Fly Fish Ohio, all of the flies are useful in Ohio waters. That doesn’t mean they don’t work everywhere else though too. If you’re a beginning tyer and want to see amazing flies tied and pause and play whenever you want check these out, you will be impressed. http://www.flyfishohio.com/Adventures_in_Fly_Tying.htm
Anyone know how to save these to disc so they can be watched on the road? I travel allot and would like to view them prior to tying them while on the road.
There are ways to do this, but many of the videos found online are copyrighted and shoudn’t be copied, even if it is for the best of reasons. Some web sites allow you to download the videos, and if so, then it’s ok to get them. Otherwise, watch them online or contact the site owner about getting copies.
