P.S. Don’t lose your head over this one.

gawwwwwwwd obviously you’re having more fun that I am! Hate the hurry up and wait … for the phone call!
Ya know though … there’s lots of really strange stuff in the newspapers!!

Beautiful fish, John! Although, I can’t say I’ve eve met an ugly trout!!

Gotta ditto that statement Betty!

Bob

Don’t they seem to be one of God’s most beautiful creatures. Gotta love the trouts and where they live:mrgreen:.

Kelly.

Once upon a time, someone here on the FAOL BB used ( and I plagiarised for a tme) as their signature " Trout must be God’s favorite fish because He put them into His most beautiful waters". Oh SOOOOO true.

Mark
PS: Great photo John

John,

What is the small loop at the fly?
– rubber legs looped together ? - I love the edit feature lol… see MCFR’s post below

Nice cold winters day on the water- CHECK

Beautiful colored large Rainbow- CHECK

Nice looking Cane rod- CHECK

Completely jealous and green with envy- DOUBLE CHECK :)lol

Great picture John, wish I could get out there and enjoy some of that right now.

The loop at the fly looks like maybe it’s rubber legs just stuck together in the pic?

… and all of a sudden, 2011 is off to a great start.

Every once in a while, something is posted somewhere on the Bulletin Board that suggests that a lot of BB members seldom, if ever, visit the Fishing Reports Forum.

For more about yesterday, take a look at my “2011 Outback” thread on the Fishing Reports Forum, and check out Benji’s “2011 Playing Hooky” thread and Buck’s “2011 New Mexico Rising” thread. Coming attractions will likely include a 2011 version of Kelly’s “Dad and the Kid” reports and bunches of reports by Dave as he spends another 100+ days fly fishing and tallying a couple thousand more fishies of all kinds.

John

We FINALLY have some above zero weather here in Havre, and I’m stuck in the office. It’s in the 40’s today, I won’t be able to get out until Saturday, it’s going to be a high of 24, and Sunday is supposed to be 0! Go figure!
The ice fishing derby has been cancelled, we’re down to one car, and John Scott is out catching fish…sounds like a country western trout fishing song.

TT.

These guys were taken in the same run on the Bitterroot, probably within 50’ of each other almost exactly one year apart, on the same fly pattern - the trusty rubber legs stonefly nymph.

John

P.S. Lots to do before the three-peat next year.

Nice! Very Nice! Thank uou…
