Vanity plates

What else??? FLY FISH

I have a “Critical Habitat” on my van, $30 of my vehicle fee, is donated to the DNR, to purchase habitat for wildlife. I have the plate with the Common Loon, which is the State Bird for Minnesota.

Nothing to do with fishing here.

Mine is the “Preserve Our Heritage” plate from PA with the PRR K4 Locomotive on it.

My second love is trains!

We need more people sporting that plate!

Don’t have one myself but I kind of “collect” them. When I see one pertaining to the outdoors I snap a pic. I have about 70 or 80 but I see the only one pertaining to FF is “Flycast”, an Iowa plate.

" Got “IBFISHIN”, “CRAPPIE”, “GOFISHIN”, CHANLCAT", “FESANT”, “CAL DUX” and many more. Folks are pretty creative.

“The more widely one observes nature, the more it appeals to one’s soul. Why? Because there is a music there; and the wider one’s outlook on life becomes, the deeper one’s understanding of life, the more music one can listen to, the music that
answers the whole universe.” --Inayat Khan

In my younger days I used to ride a 250cc dirt bike . When I went to get insurance for a new car I was issued Drt250 . Not a vanity plate Just the luck of the draw .

Used to have “WINDNOT”…described my casting skills perfectly.

Confused? Listen to the music play!

whay alaskanfishguides said. Thank you Vets.

Washington State gives us disabled vets a set of tags for one car for free, good for the rest of our lives and transferable when you get a new car. No special saying but the last two letters are always DV for Disabled Vet.

I don’t have vanity plates and wont…they get enough of my money. I hate the ones that have meaning only to the person that owns them, that is individuality carried to the ridiculous extreme. I do get a kick out of a clever one tho.

The state of VT. has a special plate for volunteer fire fighters. Looks nice w/ a large firefighters cross on one side. The $20 special plate fee is reasonable, but these clowns want us to pony up an extra $20 every year! This , for folks who already volunteer a whole chunk of time for the benefit of their community. You don’t see a lot of these plates on the road and given the current program you aint never gonna see one on my rig.

Its not a vanity, but its the Ark trout plate where 30 bucks goes to help the state with its habitat program.

I apologize in advance for what follows but I can’t resist commenting on this as it is on of those things in life that peeves me.

I can see paying a little more for an environmental plate since the money they raise goes to a good cause. However, vanity plates are for vane people. Most of us don’t give a flip if you ski or fish or whatever while we are driving. I will know you like to fish when I see you out there with rod in hand and grin on face. Just do it!
