Are there patterns or applications that you suggest as a use of Black Bear Hair?
Most commonly for streamer wings. The first pattern that comes to mind is a black nosed dace where bear hair would be the center segment of the wing (over white and under brown natural bucktail) .
I’ve seen Col Careys tied with bear hair for the body.
Black Bear Green Butt salmon flies (also good for steelhead).
Really any dark steelhead pattern wing.
Underwings on marabou-winged streamers or perhaps Woolly Buggers.
Whiskers on deerhair mice… Antennae on shrimp…
if ya bleach it, it becomes a 3 toned hair. really nice
Make a good tail for a Stealth Bomber, for bass and bream.
