I just love this YouTube clip. If you like to chase carp with the fly rod, this one will make you smile:

I have a story about fishing at work that will have to wait for a retirement dinner.

Great video. Haven’t had the opportunity to fish for carp on mulberries yet. Need to find a tree in the right spot.

That is sooooooo good. Reminds me of someone I know. Oh no not me I’d never skip out at lunch for a little fish time. No no no. Not me…
Looks like Georgetown, D.C.
Loved it! Thanks for posting the Video!

To have a job where I could sneak away to go carp fishing for two hours without anyone noticing…
The video was great fun to watch.
With a manager who’s mantra is “I don’t care when, where or how you work as long as the code is written on time.” I get to do this from time to time, but so far not for carp. Might have to rectify that. . . . .![]()
I was impressed with how readily they took that fly…of course it looked like there was a large population of fish.
mulberries are the same to carp as big salmonflies or hoppers for trout. Greed makes them a bit less wary than they would otherwise be.
Bluegill222, you are quite right. Mulberry-flavored boillies are popular for carp by the bait set. Even better are the June days on Old Hickory Lake when there are mayfly hatches coming off around the shore. Then carp will rise to a mayfly, and they aren’t as picky as you might think. ![]()
