Have you worn these jeans or chinos from ll bean et al in your waders? I’m a bit concerned about the cotton content in these that they wouldn’t be a wise choice, although I’m sure they’d look a heck of a lot better than my fleece undies.
hope to purchase those cabelas pants this week and will post a review when I have had a chance to try them out.
My brother bought a couple of Easton ice hockey pants that some goalie friends of his told him about, but he complained that they made him uncomfortably hot on the ice so he gave me a pair. I’ll tell ya what; these things are the absolute best under-wader pants around. They are designed to pull moisture away from the body and are warm enough to wear in 55-degree water for sure. Like P.Dieter, I usually wear them under some jeans till I throw the old waders on. They look like a cross between underarmor and sweatpants, so beware, 8 year olds still might poke fun.
Yeah, definitely have worn the bean jeans in weather in the 50 to 60 degree range. I tend to run cool, though. They were great in breathable waders.
In colder weather, like you, I choose fleece, but with silk longjohns under and for decency, a pair of those light, synthetic fishing pants over the top. The lighter layers keep me toasty.
