when making clouser style minnows wrap all the eyes on first and zap a gap them. some to glide some to jig. For me it makes it esier to keep the pattern consistant and more durable by seperating the process.
An old and very simple, but very useful tip … Save the cord from discarded a lamp or small appliance for ribbing. Cut the cord into 8-10 inch lengths, strip the plastic insulation off except for about a 2 inch segment. Now you have a nice bundle of copper wire ribbing in convenient, easy to work with lengths. I probably use this for 80% or more of my nymph ribbing – scuds, PTs, Hare’s Ears, etc.
