tying suppliers

Can anyone recomend some good fly tying suppliers? I know of montana river fishing company and hook and hackle, but there are things that I can’t find there. Any suggestions?

I’ve had good luck with Feather Craft.

Hello Michael,

I tie a lot of large streamers and saltwater stuff, Saltwaterflies.com has been taking care of my needs in that arena for years. Chris at S.W.Flies offers a wide range of tying goods for the less than conventional tier.
For my more commonplace tying needs, a.k.a. Trouty stuff that I can’t find locally or through Hook & Hackle, I go with Madison River Fishing Company and of late, J. Stockard’s been getting some of my business.

Best, Dave

if you were a little less cryptic and specified what you cant find at the sites you mention, the collective members of this board might help you better

take a look at the sponsors on this site. they will appreciate your business and they will continue to support this site

I have been using The Bearlodge Angler and love them, they are also a sponsor here too.

I mainly use Hook and Hackle Company and Jann’s Netcraft, both have fast service, great websites and are both located in PA.

In addition to my local shops, which an supply 90% of my need, and those already mentioned in this thread, I use Bob Marriotts quite a bit. They are almost a local shop for me - 90 miles up Interstate 5. I sill order via web since shipping is less than gas.

Try typing " fly tying supplies" in a Google search and you’ll see everything already mentioned along with J.Stockard, Cabelas, Orvis plus a bunch more.

There are dozens of good suppliers out there, but undoubtedly none will have everything you want.

H & H is located in PA, but Janns is located in The Island Nation of Ohio…Maumee to be exact.

I highly disagree about your assessment of H&H’s website being ‘great’ but thats another discussion.
