I think Roy Christie from the UK developed that reverse para style. I’ve used it on several emergers and it works very well. There is a very good Step-By-Step on the UK Fly Dressing Board at http://ukflydressing.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=sbs&thread=655&page=1 . It sure cleared up the tying process for me. Once you’ve tied one or two it gets to be a really simple technique for making a very effective fly. This is the first fly I dressed using that style. Unfortunately I messed up the dubbing on the thorax, but it did fool some fish.

i never said in my post that the tyer in the video developed the method! i just thought it was a unique method and if its not new so be it. its kinda hard to follow each and every fly tyer and know each and every technique. i try but cant get them all. :D:D

Thanks for the post. I’ve been wanting to tie up a couple patterns with the reverse hackle. It looks like it should work well if I can get it right.
That’s not Roy, but it is his technique. Saw him demonstrate it in the Catskills.

The audio was so bad that I couldn’t finish watching it. Too frustrating and this old guy couldn’t make out what the hell he was trying to say. Would be nice to watch if I could make out anything worth while. UG - rating from me would be 1/2 star. Thumbs down.
