I keep my materials in “Ziplock Boxes”. 6 of these boxes are titled with the dozen flies I tie the most. When you grab the box, there’s material, a couple of hook sizes to tie those flies. That’s as organized as I get.
I do it both ways.
If I am tying PTN then I lay al the materials out so I am ready to go.
For some others I take it as I am working on the fly.
Depends on how organized I am for the day.
