My bottom line would be that I’m glad I have it because of my interest in furled flies but I already knew the techniques and most of the flies have a certain redundancy…in most of the book he gives his examples of flies in certain categories.

I first became interested when I saw Hanley tying at an expo in CA.
I remember asking him how he liked furled leaders thinking it would be right up his alley…the answer…“I hate them”.

many years ago when i lived in colorado (1980-1991), i was given a few flies tied by chaz clover that had the bodies made with a furled zlon/antron/polyester kind of material. one of them was a bwo and another was a royal wulff looking kinda fly. i’ll have to post a photo if i can find them in my dry fly box.
