Two Tips, Volume 9 Week 28 — Fly Pattern


  1. Fill (really stuff) a film canister with 0000 steel
    wool. Put the top on it. Poke a hole in the top with
    your bodkin. Use it to store you bodkin in, and keep
    it clean (the steel wool cleans all the crud off when
    you jam the bodkin in)!

  2. Fit the end section of a popsicle stick with the
    loopy half of Velcro tape. Two uses:

  1. “Hair out” the dubbing on your flies.

  2. If pushed down on beads will hold the
    bead for placement on your hook.
