I have the calendar; TROUT OF NORTH AMERICA, illustrated by the fine artist Joseph R. Tomelleri.
This months trout is the BROWN (Salmo trutta)
In my opinion, Joseph’s illustrations are beautiful.
I would recommend this calendar or his prints to anyone who appreciates fine fish art.
I would like to hear from the people on this board about their experiences fishing for this interesting trout???
Thanks,

Several years ago I received a Trout of North America calendar for Christmas. I was impressed with the art work. Since then I have bought the calendar every year and as I type this I am looking at that brown trout. Like Doug, I would suggest you consider getting one.
Your request for a story about a Brown brought to mind when I left Vietnam and headed home. Dad & I went fishing on the Ogden River in Utah. I flipped a Rio Grande King streamer under an overhanging willow and dang near had the rod yanked out of my hand by a savage strike. The brown ran me down the river a bit befor I got him. Estimated weight was 4 lbs. Was I one proud soldier - that is until pops told me of the one he let go that probably went 6 lbs.
