Trouble tying with new bifocals

I had to go to multi-focal lenses 2 years ago. I went straight to progressives. Never had a problem adjusting to them, which probably means I waited too long to get them.
This last go-around, I had the eye doc up the magnification at he bottom of the lenses to help with the small flies. I also had them put a photo-chromic coating on, too. I would have loved to get them polarized, but it makes it kinda hard to see the computer screen!

Like you, I had the same problem. My solution was to get a special pair of glasses where I explained my problem to my Optometrist and showed him exactly what distance I would like the best performance. It worked well.

I have had no-lines for a long time with no problem at all. I’m trying to start tying and a bright light is essential. I think it’s like a camera lens, your resolution and depth of field are better with the iris stopped down.
