Trolling motor for my canoe

I just bought a trolling motor for my canoe and I was wondering if any of you have ssen plans to make the mount. I want to do it myself but would like somewhere to begin. Season opens April 1st here in NY!!! Thanks, DB

if you have a aluminum canoe there is a lip around canoe take 2x4 cut to size to fit inside canoe next cut longer 2x4 to fit over previous 2x4 line both up drill 2 holes each side for carriage bolts and wing nuts , add extra 2x4 for motor hookup on top piece ’ this worked fo my electric motor

In a pinch you can also mount the motor directly to the gunwwale and turn the motor 90 degrees to operate it.
