I have a RT air ticket I have to use sometime by end of September. I would like opinions where I can fly in for a two or three day trip. Prefer wading will get a guide for a day and the others on my own. Don’t have any restrictions on where I fly.

I second Eric’s motion. You will have forty guides, and the rates are a lot cheaper (generally involving gas and beer). Less crowded, fishing is great, and the company is unbeatable.

Mid to late Sept is an awesome time to be out west. I am partial to Montana of course, West Yellowstone would be a great place to stay. If you want to fish the Yellowstone river, let me know. Sept and Oct are my favorite months on the Stone, Madison, etc.
