Trico emergers/patterns

Several years ago I was told by a so-called professional that it was useless to fish and tie trico emergers because emergence was at night. I’ve tied and fished them and seem to do pretty well during the hatch months.
Anyone care to comment and share some simple trico emerger patterns?

Fantastic. Thanks
Now that you mention it I did better fishing on Saturday with a trico nymph with the emerger used as a dropper about 18 to 24 inches above the nymph. I should have tied a shuck on it.

I’m a big fan of your emerger. Saw your post and tied a couple. Fished it as a dropper behind a spinner. Very effective

Thanks for sharing it.

I tied some for my buddy that is camping on the North Platte this week. I’ll find out how he did when he gets back.
