Whoa, I like that!! I just recently took over a corner desk in the basement as my “fly tying desk”. That bag would be good even for that, just to help me organize my furs & feathers!
Until I got set up on the desk, I kept vise and all my tools, threads, markers & glues in a toiletry carry-on bag, and all my materials, hooks, beads and such in a rolling laptop computer bag. It has a lot of pockets and dividers.
I’d just throw those 2 bags in the car when I thought I’d have time to tie while waiting for my kids to get done with their extra-curricular activities. My vise would simply clamp onto the steering wheel!
Plano boxes are still fairly reasonable. They make one with no dividers that you might look at. I wouldn’t carry it around the stream, but several of them make the trip up to Grayling each year.
