I’ll give this another shot. By that I mean getting my flies to California…lol. I’ll send them priority this time. I’ll be tying the “Peanut Fly”. This is just one of what I call my “pet flies”, a quill wing wet tied up completely of fur and feathers from my pets.
Usually I do these as miniature streamers, or streamerettes as I like to call them. But this will be a standard wet fly type. Notice I didn’t use the word traditional…lol.
Down the road I plan to do a pet fly swap of my own, with participants using hair, fur, and/or feathers from their own pets.

Put me on the “Also Eligible” list ala horse racing. I’ll do some married wing size 6 from Bergman if some one drops out.
as long as everyone doesnt mind, ill bump it to 11 tyers. realize that if someone complains or has a problem with it, ill have to take you off the list, but as long as no one has a problem with it, youre in.
everyone tie 11 flies instead of 10, unless there is a problem, in which case let me know…

You’re neighbor’s pet or any friends/relatives pet will do. Over the years I’ve tied up memento flies for lots of folks with their pets fur (usually cats, dogs or birds). I have several streamers that I created that are tied entirely of my cats fur and my pet roosters feathers combined. I actually call them my pet flies A cats underfur is some of the easiest dubbing material I’ve ever worked with, very similar to fox. So it shouldn’t be much trouble when the time comes to come up with at least one ingredient from someone’s pet, even if it’s not your own. I’ll let you know when I’m ready to do the swap. Right now I’ve got my hands full with several other swaps I’m either in or meistering.
