Were any chairs thrown during this trip?
Colorful fellow that Bobby Knight.

Was this near Lubbock? Nice photos, although that poor fish looked tired after posing so much! JGW

Hey there White 43;
I wish I would have said THAT!

Spinner,
What a thrill! Coach may have a temper problem, but I understand he’s a fantastic flyfisherman & a highly principled person. I’ll bet that was a neat trip!
Mike

I’ve watched and have been a fan of Coach Knight for years. Regarless of what you think of the guy, he’s a great basketball coach and, as I’ve also heard, a great fly fisherman. It’s just a thrill for me to see those pics!! Great job!!

I have had the pleasure of spending a day on the stream with Len(spinner)…he will put you on some fish!

Brookid

The smile on the General’s face says it all! Nice pics and fish. Was that a spinner that was in the mouth of one of the fish?

That looks like a fun day on the water!

have fun

D.

say what you want about knight, his players love him…but i hope you were careful–wasn’t there a story a few years back about him accidently shooting a hunting partner

not only do his players love him, they graduate.

how 'bout dat?

mgj

An old timer was once asked why he still fished as much as always, but had stopped hunting?

“Well, my fishing partner hasn’t ever mistaken me for a musky!”.

Bobby was perfect gentleman the entire trip. He signed autographs and had photos taken.

He even asked to go she my mother who lives in the area. He is Class Act.

No spinners were thrown by the Coach…The tiny spoon like fly was a FIZZIE. Way too small to throw on a spin rod.

Good for you Len! I’m glad to hear you had the Coach for a client and you both had a good time.

                         Spin

I strongly agree with Dphotoco, and could’nt help but feel bad for those fish being held that far from the water, hope you kept them.

Hope the Gen.has no plans of fishing in my home state…

“I’ve often wondered why it is that so many anglers spend so much money on,and pay so much attention to.the details on the wrong end of the fly line.If they took as much care in selecting or tying their flies as they did in the selection of the reel and rod,They might be able to gain the real extra edge that makes it possible to fool a fish that has,in fact, seen it all before” A.K.Best

“Wish ya great fishing”

those trout were out of the water maximum 3 seconds.

also…

i do eat trout…not many…but i do…

ask anyone i fish with…
i am very careful of the trout…

I hear you’re a pretty good guide too, and have hooked up with some big trout.

I realize some people aren’t a fan of “fish porn” but having fished with Len he trys to very concious(sp)of the well being of the fish…time out of water…reviving ect…for whats its worth…

brookid

Hey spinner!
No barbs were meant by my reply. I was merely agreeing that ALL the photos may have been of ONE fish taken with different backgrounds.(I thought that was an astute observation) Your integrity as a guide remains unscathed .

Mark

PS: Were these photos from the Driftless Area near Viroqua etc?

I’d rather be in Wyoming!
