To Jim Hatch as requested-reporting on trip to Waynesville

Cross Creek was certainly correct when he recommended I seek out Lowe’s Fly Shop in Waynesville. Awesome place and if they don’t have it, you probably don’t need it. I decided to purchase a year round out-of-state fishing and trouting license as it wasn’t really that much more than a three day shot. Only $40.00 for all year and it goes from date of purchase for a full year and doesn’t expire in June or July like some other places. Thought that was a pretty reasonable price. Unfortunately, I never got to accept the kind offer to fish with Bryan Trantham; but, he came to meet me at the library where we were busy with our other affliction, genealogy, and researching my wife’s family lines. Bryan and I swapped some flies and he gave me some great information on several places to try in the future. Plan on maybe being in the area in the fall when we return for my wife’s family reunion at Waterville. First face to face with another FAOL’er and highly recommended. Thanks again guys for everything.

Hi Green Mtn Man,

Thanks for the report.G Isn’t it
great that we have a wealth of folks here
willing to share knowledge, flies, and even
a favorite fishing hole with thier FAOL friends. I’ve been fortunate to meet several
FAOLERS and most recently Jim Smith from
the Atlanta area spent several days fishing
with me. It was great to put a face to a
personality that I already considered a
friend. Even more so now.G I’ve read
many reports of FAOLERS meeting up to fish
or visit and have yet to read one that was
not somewhat annimated from a very pleasant
experience. Thanks for the update. Hope
you gents can share a stream in the future.
Warm regards, Jim
