To fat cat owners

Just recently bought a fat cat and had it out a couple of times. How do you people that use them find the seat back rest? I find that in order to lean back into the rest so I am supported, I put a fair amount of strain on it. Does the stitching on the tube where the backrest straps buckles hold up after time? I have the straps shortened quite a bit so I sit upright. Or am I being paranoid?

I’ve had my Outcast Super fat Cat for over 3 years and I still don’t worry about the straps breaking. I wouldn’t worry about it. Take-care!

My Fish Cat is fine after 2 seasons of hard use.

I am deeply disappointed in this thread.

My neighbor has a huge tabby and I was hoping for a recipe or two.

Ahhhh Cats!
The other white meat…

( should have named mine “Dubbing”)

Some days it’s just not worth chewing through the restraints…

I’m disappointed too. I thought this was a thread about the Honda Fat Cat. I always wanted one, too.

Perhaps not related to your question exactly, I have heard of people slipping a sheet of plexiglass or some other semi-rigid material into the “sleave” that hold the foam back, to add support to the back.

I have two super fat cats and they are both holding up fine after 3 years of use. The back support is not great but I have have had no problems with the stitching or the straps.

The W.W. Griggs is basically the same design and shape of the fat cat. Think it’s W.W.Griggs.com which will take you to another site to see the float tube. I am happy with it. Not a fat cat for bragging rights…but same shape. @ $89 at Sportsman’s Warehouse you can buy 4 of them and wear them out for UNDER the price of one fat cat.
