Time to Wake Up the Pirates

It definitely time to rally the pirates to the old skull and cross bones. This board is getting deader than “frog water.” So you guys are obviously not posting. That leaves fishing or drinking. What goes on pirates? 8T

What the heck is that pirate noise? AAaaaeeeeeeeiiiiihhhh----wrong noise—that’s a 2/0 Clouser hooked through the bridge of your nose.

You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.

They say, let sleeping dogs lie, and thats all pirates do is lie… well lie and steal.

AAARRRGGGHHH

Who rang the ships bell whilst a fly was in the air ? Seems fly tying has been taking up some of the time, while trying to find suitable Fish-In accomadations & an agreeable itinerary since the secret pirates meeting has taken up more time than expected. Hoisting another grog to ponder how to get the fish to rise from the inquiry !

Seems that the prirates can’t be raised. Must be working as department store Santas. 8T

We’re all working as Fish-In Santas here in Department Florida, and it isn’t easy getting the holiday presents arranged & wrapped! Hurricanes & inflation are too many heavy things on the knees at one time to listen to !

Ahoy thar Eight thumbs,
It’s not cold enough for the pirates to come ashore and tell their tales by the fire! It’s got to be so cold that the floridians put on long pants and the northerners don’t take off their long johns before the pirates spin their yarns. Patience my lad, they’ll be here. And then you’ll regret you asked!
arrrrrrrggggghhhhh and God be wit ye

Now that the Stripers are gone it’s time to hibernate until ice season.

So you think the pirates are sleeping. Well some of us have been in the hospital chasing nurses. But as for sleeping, If you have ever spent the night in the hospital you know there is no sleep.

I have been plotting and planning while I have been sick, and Cap Yid has trained a new pirate. So we will be sneaking back on board in a day or so… Watch out, we have a new check list of rods we need to acquire. heheheh

Harold

Hey, hey, hey ! Harolds’ back on board the forum today ! Chasin’ too many hot & cold running nurses for interrupting his one-eyed patch sleeping ! AAARRRGGGHHH !!!Must be about ready…to flyfish off the ship !

HH what secret Pattern are you tying for those nurses eh I’ll bet your long lining em and using circle hooks.

I thought most died off and went to straight to H$ll.

Thank God for HH and ET, I don’t mean to get spiritual over this ya know.

Philip

So Harold did you at least get to enjoy the sponge baths? Or did you get stuck with the only male nurse for that?

Some of us have fished a lousy season. The striped ones have bypassed the northern Chesapeake Bay and made a bee-line offshore for parts south!

Ok you pirates, I live in Florida; There are no old nurses, and no male nurses. I did have one that was pregnant, and one that was a friend. But the other 20 were single and looking. I was amazed at how many were single. Most were in their late 20’s. The nurses are a major reason I am here to brag about them. They were all wonderful and after the first day they stopped calling me Mr. Hattaway. (I traded, I stopped calling them Mamm.)

I got a get well card from one of them today. I am embarrassed to say I do not remember her. She must have been from the first day.

I did not talk about fishing the whole time I was in hospital, flirting got in the way.
The bait I use is my blue eyes, cause I was not able to hide anything.
I wish you guys and gals could see what I brought home from the hospital. I have blood bruises all over my stomach and arms. It looks like they beat me with a bat. One bruise on my stomach is about the size of a softball. And it still is sore. They take blood with a basting needle. Ok I have weak veins so anything feels like a basting needle.

Harold

Harold, don’t tell us about how you got those bruises. This is a family web site.

I can comiserate about your hospital nights. Hospitals are the only place where they wake you up to see if your sleeping.

jed

Harold, I can assure you that no one used a basting needle to draw blood from you. The best use for basting needles is to burr and dull them and then use them on young people receiving treatment for STD’s.

Sometimes pain and embarrasment actually do help to prevent further idiocy.

Your bruising, as I know you know, is the result of anti-coagulant therapy. It delays the time it takes for blood to clot after injury so little scrapes, punctures, and bumps can lead to big bruises.

Welcome to middle age.

When the dawn came up like thunder

Stev

While I am sure you are correct, there was this one nurse that I was tickling every time she came to visit me. When they came to take blood she stood in the corner and her eyes just lit up. I know there was a sparkle in them that was not there when I was tickling her.

I will say this none of the brusies I have on my body are around my face. Stev saw me and can testify to this.

Harold

ok, i’m awake…now what?

Harold has, indeed, no bruising aboout his face.

I make this statement as an expert witness. Over the years, I’ve drawn sufficient blood to know bruises. And if I forego rum in me ccffee for breakfast, I can still distinguish a face from other parts of the human body.

If I adds the rum, I have to rely on what noises the body parts emit. And me 'earing is not what it were when magnets fell from me limbs.

The reason he has no bruising onthe face is because all the jabs were to the midsection. Nice job Slenon. I always tell my boys when you go out to remind people of their obligations, make sure it doesn’t show.

Well Dave, now that we’ve got all the pirates together, we can drink, fish or plunder. My personal favorite would be a combination of all three in an area that has never seen snow, like Belize.

Now for that pirate noise----uuuuuuuuggggggghhhhhhh. Wrong noise again—that’s 36 degree water filling your waders.
