We’re going to visit friends in the Minneapolis area in about 6 months (that’s the closest frequent flyer tickets we can book), which should put us up there aruond late August or early September. Does anyone know of one or two day fly fishing opportunities in the area? I’ll probably be going it alone, so guides, tackle, stream locations, and anything else you may feel is of value to me is welcome. Thanks in advance. Are you targeting any specific species? Within 45 minutes of downtown Minneapolis you can catch trout, panfish, LMB, SMB, northern and muskie. Trophy carp available for that matter! All seasons are open then (trout closes end of September)
There are lots of opportunities to wade - and plenty of guides to choose from.
